The Indian team is ready to play a five-match Test series against England. The first Test match of the series is to be played from January 25 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. On Wednesday, England has announced its playing eleven for the first Test match, in which three spinners have been included. James Anderson has not been able to be a part of the playing eleven.

Lancashire’s Tom Hartley will make his Test debut. The squad includes Ollie Pope, Ben Foakes, Rehan Ahmed and Jack Leach, who were all missing from England’s last Test against Australia at The Oval last summer. The presence of three spin bowlers in the English team is a topic of discussion and it was already expected.

Talking about the Indian team, Virat Kohli has withdrawn his name from the first two test matches due to personal reasons. And he will join the team from the third test. Apart from this, the situation has also become clear regarding who will play as wicketkeeper. KL Rahul will play as a batsman and one of KS Bharat and Dhruv Jurel will be part of the playing eleven.
