Ben Duckett played a strong innings of 71 runs on the first day

Duckett hit four consecutive fours to Jaden Seals who came to bowl the second over. Ollie Pope also hit two fours to Alzari Joseph in the third over. Ben Duckett again hit two fours in the fourth over and completed England’s 50 runs by hitting a four on the second ball of the fifth over.
Ben Duckett did not stop here. He completed his half-century in 32 balls, which is a record. He has become the joint third fastest batsman to score a half-century in Test cricket for England. Duckett was dismissed after playing an innings of 71 runs, in which he hit 14 fours in 59 balls. At the time of writing the news, England has scored 134 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 26 overs till the lunch break. Ollie Pope is currently at the crease with 47 runs and Joe Root with 13 runs.
