In the fifth and final Test match played in Dharamsala, India defeated England by an innings and 64 runs. In this final test, all the players from India performed very well and played an important role in the victory of their team. With this, India won the 5-match Test series by 4-1.

In this match played in Dharamshala, England had scored 218 runs after losing all the wickets in their first innings. Zak Crawley batted very well in the first innings and played an excellent inning of 79 runs. Apart from Zak Crawley, Jonny Bairstow contributed 29 runs while Ben Duckett scored 27 runs. Joe Root was out after scoring just 26 runs while Ben Fox contributed 24 runs.

For India, Kuldeep Yadav took 5 wickets in the first innings while Ravichandran Ashwin took four wickets. Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket in his name. After this, India scored 477 runs after losing all the wickets in its first innings. All the players of the team performed very well in batting.

Captain Rohit Sharma played a stormy innings of 103 runs while Shubman Gill scored 110 runs. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 57 runs while Sarfaraz Khan scored 56 runs. Devdutt Padikkal also made a mark in his debut Test and contributed 65 runs.

The England team failed to bat well in the second innings and was all out for 195 runs. Joe Root performed very well in the second innings and played an important inning of 84 runs. However, Joe Root failed to lead his team to victory. Jonny Bairstow scored 39 runs while Tom Hartley contributed 20 runs.
