The 31-year-old made his debut for India a long time ago and has played two Tests, eight ODIs and 11 T20 matches so far. However, he could not perform with consistency there, due to which he has been out of Team India since July 2021. However, Saini is focused on performing well in the DPL and after the Lions won their first game, the right-arm fast bowler is focused on the match against Delhi-6.
Fast bowling is not an easy task- Navdeep Saini
Navdeep Saini from West Delhi Lions said, “We had a really good first match and everything went according to our plan. Everyone was supporting each other during the game, it was the first time for all of us to play together and we did it really well. As a team when you win the first match it really helps the team to move forward.”
He further said, “We have prepared very well for today’s match. Our process has been the same, what we did before the first match, we have done the same for today’s game. Our practice has been really good.”
Furthermore, Saini said that he has always tried to focus on his fitness. Moreover, he pointed out that discipline becomes extremely important to excel in the art of fast bowling. Saini said, “Ever since I started playing cricket, I have always focused on my fitness. Fast bowling is not easy, you have to work hard day and night to master it. If you want to become a fast bowler, you must be disciplined.”
