Pakistan team is currently on Australia tour for a three-match test series. After losing to the host team in the first test, the Pakistan team had to face defeat in the second test also. Shaheen Shah Afridi has bowled well in these two test matches. Meanwhile, former Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi said he does not believe he is injured despite the drop in pace.

He said that there are high expectations from the team’s star players especially Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen. He also said that there can be problems for those who do not manage their game.

Shahid Afridi said, I never felt that Shaheen was hurt. If you are injured you cannot play as a fast bowler. He knows his responsibility and he is very important for the team. We are expecting from the fast bowlers because they have performed well in the past.

We need a strong bench- Shahid Afridi

He said that Babar Azam, Shaheen etc. have performed so well that we expect similar performance from them in every match. Consistency is challenging in cricket. I have always said that unless our bench is strong, we will not be able to take the best decisions.

The former cricketer continued his point by saying that the A team should be as strong as the premier team. So that if Shaheen or Babar or Rizwan is not there then we will not have the excuse of players being unavailable. When our bench is strong, we will have no excuse.

If we talk about test series Australia took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series against Pakistan by registering victory in the second Test at the MCG after a big win in Perth.
