Recently, a new book by Brian Lara, former legendary player of West Indies cricket team and the one who played a 400 run test innings against England, has been published. The name of this new book of Lara is LARA The England Chronicles.

Let us tell you that the image of former Caribbean legend Vivian Richards has been tarnished in a paragraph written in this book, and not only Richards but also Carl Hooper has been disappointed by this wrong statement. Both these former legendary cricketers have claimed that their character has been portrayed wrongly in Lara’s book.

In a joint statement, Carl Hooper and Viv Richards said, as quoted by PTI- Sir Viv Richards and Mr Carl Hooper are deeply disappointed by the gross misrepresentations made about them in Brian Lara’s recently published book. The allegations not only distort the reality of their relationship but also unfairly and damagingly impugn their characters.

The book claims that Sir Vivian was aggressive towards Mr Hooper and made him cry once a week, which is completely false. Such details are an attempt to tarnish the image of Vivian Richards. This claim is not only baseless but also dangerous for both sides.
