It is noteworthy that Sandeep was accused of raping an 18-year-old girl during September 2022 and he was arrested. So now this star cricketer of Nepal has got relief from the court in this case and he has been declared acquitted.
After this decision of the court, the way for him to play T20 Cricket World Cup has now been cleared. Because ever since his arrest, the Nepal Cricket Board had banned him from participating in any type of cricket. However, now the green signal has been received from the ICC and he is completely available for selection in the Nepal cricket team for the T20 World Cup.
Let us tell you that a Nepalese court had sentenced the cricketer to 8 years imprisonment in a rape case, after which his cricket career was hanging in the balance. However, recently the Patan High Court heard the cricketer’s case again, overturned his conviction and dismissed all the charges against the cricketer and acquitted him.

Since then, he has played 51 ODI and 52 T20 matches for Nepal in which he has taken 112 and 98 wickets respectively. Apart from this, he has taken 13 wickets in 9 IPL matches.
