So this stadium is likely to be completely ready in February 2025. Also, in the year 2025, along with the IPL matches, some ODI matches of the Indian team can also be seen being hosted in this stadium.
Also, let us tell you that this stadium is being prepared with the joint efforts of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Tripura Cricket Association. The total construction cost of the stadium is Rs 200 crore and the stadium can host a total of 25 thousand spectators.
Tripura Cricket Association Secretary Subrata Dey gave a big statement
Let us tell you that while giving more information regarding the construction of the stadium in the state of Tripura, Tripura Cricket Association Secretary Subrata Dey was quoted by New Indian Express as saying – It is our mission to complete the project of International Cricket Stadium as soon as possible.
By January 2025 or mid-February as per the revised deadline, we will have the stadium ready to host high profile cricket matches. We have already adopted a roadmap for this project and have also given guidelines to the agency and designer company involved in the project to expedite the work.
Subrata Dey further said- The work on the stadium project started in the year 2017. Earlier this project was to be completed within 22 months. But due to the slow pace of work of the agency working here, this project has been delayed. However, now to speed up the stadium construction, we have decided to review the work every week.
