Jay Shah will take over as ICC chairman from December 1
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah was elected unopposed as the new chairman of the ICC. He will replace Greg Barclay, whose second term ends on November 30. Greg Barclay had already confirmed that he is not interested in holding the post for a third consecutive time, after which speculation about Jay Shah becoming the next chairman had intensified.
Jay Shah is the fifth Indian to become ICC Chairman, before him Jagmohan Dalmiya, Sharad Pawar, N Srinivasan and Shashank Manohar have held the post.
The Indian cricket world is currently seen congratulating Jay Shah, in which the name of legendary player Virat Kohli has also been added. Kohli congratulated the new ICC chairman in a special way through social media.

Let us tell you, Jay Shah has been working as BCCI Secretary since 2019. Currently, he has one year of tenure left, however now he will have to leave the post. Jay Shah will take over as ICC Chairman from December 1.
