ACA had sent an email notice to Hanuma Vihari on March 25 seeking clarification on his statement.
Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) recently suspended former Andhra Pradesh captain Hanuma Vihari (Hanuman Vihari) was sent a show cause notice. This show cause notice was sent by Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) to take disciplinary action against Vihari as he tried to tarnish the image of the board.
Not only this, ACA also claimed that the Indian batsman did not respond to their show cause notice. Now Hanuma Vihari has refuted ACA’s claims that he did not respond to the show cause notice. Vihari revealed that he had stepped down from captaincy due to political interference during the recently concluded Ranji season and had said that he would never play for Andhra again.
Hanuma Vihari responded to ACA show cause notice
In view of this, ACA had sent an email notice to Hanuma Vihari on March 25 seeking clarification on his statement. According to ESPNcricinfo, the Indian batsman in his response said that he has put forward all the facts about the unfair treatment he faced.
Not only this, Vihari has also demanded NOC from ACA to play for other state teams, on which the board’s decision is yet to come. Hanuma Vihari was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo, “I want to get out of this issue, and play for another team. I have sought No Objection Certificate (NOCA) from ACA. I am waiting for the reply.”
‘They have a chance to air their grievances’
Earlier, an ACA official was quoted by PTI as saying: “Yes, we have sent them a show cause notice and we are waiting for their reply. This is just to find out what kind of rhetoric he made last month.
They have not contacted us, so this is an opportunity for them to bring forward their grievances. Ultimately, we value Vihari and his contribution to the development of state cricket, as he has played a huge role in taking Andhra forward in domestic cricket.”
