Rohit retired from T20 International for this reason
After defeating South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had announced their retirement from the shortest format of the game. Recently, Rohit revealed the reason due to which he thought of retiring from T20.
I retired from T20 International because I enjoyed playing this format, I played for 17 years, I performed well and all this happened. Then, won the 2024 World Cup. This was the best time for me to decide that ‘Okay, now it’s time for me to move on and focus on other things’. There are a lot of good players who can perform well for India.
