In the ongoing T20 World Cup, Bumrah played a key role in India’s victory by taking 15 wickets in eight matches at an impressive average of 8.26 and an excellent economy of 4.17, which eventually earned him the Player of the Tournament award.
The Ahmedabad-born also rescued his team in the final of this World Cup, playing a crucial role in his last two overs, giving away just six runs and taking the crucial wicket of Marco Jansen, which was a key part of India’s victory.
Dinesh Karthik praised Jasprit Bumrah a lot
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik recalled his on-air commentary and compared Bumrah to the Kohinoor diamond (the most precious piece of diamond). He described Bumrah as a premier bowler across all formats and said that the way he performs under pressure time and again makes him one of the best bowlers.
Speaking on Cricbuzz, Dinesh Karthik said, “When I was on air, I said that he is more valuable than the Kohinoor diamond. In fact, he is the greatest all-format bowler in world cricket right now. It is very difficult to come back again and again and keep performing under pressure, not many people can do that.”
