Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra recently talked about the manner in which Rajasthan Royals star batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed in his team’s recent match against Delhi Capitals. RR did not have a good start while chasing the target of 222 against DC and lost opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for four runs in two balls.
After hitting a four on the first ball, Jaiswal played a shot in the air on the second ball, which was easily caught by Axar Patel. Talking about his dismissal, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra pointed out how Jaiswal was once again dismissed on a short ball and how once again he was out against a left-arm pacer.
Aakash Chopra is unhappy with the way Yashasvi Jaiswal got out
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Aakash S Chopra said, “When the turn of run chase came, Yashasvi Jaiswal was once again out on the ball of the left arm fast bowler. This is not the first time that he has been out on the short ball. He has been out many times and has been out once again. It was almost the same shot and was caught in front of the wickets.”
He said that Buttler got a lease of life but Akshar (Patel) got him out too. Riyan Parag played well for a while, played one or two good shots, but then he too was out. When he got out to a back-of-the-hand slower ball from Rasikh Salam, it looked like things were about to get stuck.
Regarding Sanju Samson’s innings, Chopra said, “Sanju Samson remained at one end. How well he is batting. I thought he would score a century. The century did not come, he became the victim of Mukesh Kumar, but he batted incredibly well, before scoring 86 runs in 46 balls. He was timing the ball well. Shubham Dubey also batted well for some time.”
