In a video shared by Star Sports, Shakib Al Hasan said, “I think the way he has led India in the last few years has been fantastic. His record as a captain is tremendous. I think all the players respect him as a leader of the team. He is a player who can single-handedly take away the match from the opposition team.”

Bangladesh will enter the tournament on the back of a disappointing performance, having recently lost the T20I series to co-hosts USA by a margin of 1-2. In contrast, the Men in Blue will be coming into the tournament after playing an intense Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
Bengal Tigers’ first practice match against the United States of America (USA) was cancelled due to heavy rain and this match against India will be their second practice match before the tournament. India, on the other hand, will play only one practice match before the tournament begins.
Both Rohit and Shakib are the only two players who have played in all the editions of this T20 World Cup so far. The 37-year-old all-rounder is the highest wicket-taker in the history of the tournament with 47 wickets. While Rohit is the fourth-highest run-scorer in the tournament with 963 runs in 36 innings.
