So regarding Mallya, Kumble had said that in that auction he had said that he would not go anywhere else other than Bangalore. Kumble further said- No one is bidding for me, meaning this was the end of the auction. I was bought at my base price. At that time there was no such thing in auction as you see today.

I was told that no one else had bid for me, and then RCB owner Vijay Mallya stood up and said no way. He will not go anywhere else except Bangalore.
