Hong Kong 6s announced its schedule, opening match will be played between India and Pakistan


The Hong Kong tournament will start from November 1 and will be played between a total of 12 teams.

The Hong Kong 6s tournament is going to start once again. Let us tell you that the last edition of this fantastic tournament was played in 2017. This tournament has always been highly praised and has seen many countries perform tremendously against each other.

Now after almost 7 years this tournament is going to start once again. The first match of the upcoming season of Hong Kong 6s will be played between India and Pakistan. The Hong Kong 6s tournament will start from November 1 and will be played between a total of 12 teams. The best thing is that the International Cricket Council has decided to start this wonderful tournament once again.

This tournament was first played in 1992. Talking about India, they have won this tournament only once in 2005. Legendary players like Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni have participated in the Hong Kong 6s tournament. The England team has won this important tournament five times. Now in the upcoming season also all the 12 teams will be seen performing tremendously.

The upcoming season of the Hong Kong 6s will also see the Associate nations participating. The teams playing in the upcoming season are India, Pakistan, Australia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, England, South Africa, Oman, New Zealand, Hong Kong and UAE. The rules of this tournament say that six players from a team can participate in it.

This is not a franchise league tournament.

The team can take the field with only 6 players

Apart from the wicketkeeper, each player of the team can bowl only one over.

The final match of this tournament will be of 8 balls instead of six balls in an over.

A team can bowl only 5 overs.

A batsman can retire after scoring 31 runs. He can come to bat if the rest of the team’s players are out or retire.

If 5 batsmen are out before the given five overs, then the fifth batsman will be seen playing only as a runner and will not be able to bat.

India recorded the second highest total- In the fourth T20 match, the Indian team won the toss and batted first and scored 283 runs on the board at the loss of one wicket. This is India’s second highest total in T20 International. Sanju Samson played an unbeaten inning of 109 runs in 56 balls with the help of 6 fours and 9 sixes. At the same time, Tilak Verma played an unbeaten inning of 120 runs in 47 balls with the help of 9 fours and 10 sixes.
