Before the start of the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, a big statement has come from former Indian women cricketer Poonam Yadav. It is worth noting that this time the multination tournament is starting from October 3 in the UAE hosted by Bangladesh.

A total of 10 teams are participating in the tournament this time, while 23 matches will be played between these teams for the title. The final match of the tournament will be played on 20 October at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The entire tournament will be played in Dubai and Shahjahan Cricket Stadium.

Poonam Yadav gave a big statement

Let us tell you that before the start of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, Poonam Yadav, while discussing with Star Sports on the Follow the Blues show, said – Coach Amol Majumdar has focused a lot on improving the fielding and fitness of the team. He also organized a 10-day skill camp. I believe things are getting better and all the girls in the camp are working hard.

When you are part of such a camp, you get clarity about your playing position, who plays a key role in which position and where you should bowl. It helps in correcting mistakes, ensuring that you don’t repeat them in the World Cup. I am confident that Team India will win the World Cup.

On the other hand, if we talk about the Indian team in the T20 World Cup, then India will start its title campaign with a match against New Zealand Women on October 4. After this, India’s next matches are going to be against Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Australia.
