New Zealand cricket team head coach Gary Stead is confident that team captain Kane Williamson will fully recover before the first Test against South Africa starting on February 4. Let us tell you, recently New Zealand played a 5-match T20 series against Pakistan. Kane Williamson got injured during this T20 series.

Kane Williamson has not yet fully recovered from his injury but Gary Stead is confident that he will fully recover before the first Test against South Africa. Gary Stead also believes that the New Zealand team is fully prepared for the Test series against South Africa. Let us tell you, two test matches will be played between the two teams, which is starting from 2nd February. The first Test will be played in Mount Maunganui while the second Test will start in Hamilton from 13 February.

According to ESPNcricinfo, Gary Stead said, ‘I am confident that Kane Williamson will make a full recovery. He still has a lot of time and he can also take part in training in the next two days. We do not want to rush at all with him because we also know that the series against South Africa is very important for us and Kane Williamson is our player. We will try to ensure that Kane Williamson recovers completely.

We are in talks about Tom Blundell who is not fully fit at the moment. However, we have a lot of options and we will not be in a hurry with them either.

Gary Stead made a big revelation about Trent Boult

Gary Stead said about Trent Boult, ‘I was messaging Trent last night. Trent and I had a conversation last week about his future and whether he would play for the New Zealand team or not. They may be available but I’m not 100% sure. I will talk to him again. It will not be so easy to make a comeback from T20 cricket to Test cricket but we will definitely wait for his decision.

At present, it remains to be seen whether Kane Williamson is fully fit before the Test series against South Africa or not. If Kane Williamson is not fully fit then the New Zealand team may suffer a big blow.
