I am very happy even with Rs 55 lakh- Rinku Singh
Rinku Singh was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 80 lakh in the IPL 2018 auction. Then before the 2022 season, the franchise retained him for Rs 55 lakh. Rinku Singh has no regrets about earning Rs 55 lakh in the IPL. He says that even 55 lakh is a lot, and he is very happy with it.
Before leaving for New York for the T20 World Cup 2024, Rinku Singh while talking to Dainik Jagran said, ‘Even 50-55 lakhs is a lot. When I started, I had never thought that I would be able to earn so much. At that time I was a child and I used to think that even if I get 10-5 rupees, it would be good. Now I am getting 55 lakh rupees, so it is a lot, whatever God gives me, I should be happy with it, it is not my thinking that I should have got so much money. I am very happy even with 55 lakh rupees, when I did not have it, then I realized the value of money.
Rinku Singh further said that a person should live a simple life. One should remain as one is. ‘Today, if I tell you the truth, all this is an illusion. You have neither brought anything with you, nor will you take anything with you. You don’t know when times will change. You will have to go the same way you came, so remain the same way you came, what else,’
