He said, “Whenever it comes to T20, sometimes I do not understand whether I am in the scheme of things or not. But I think before the T20 World Cup you have the IPL and this is the best opportunity to bring momentum, and if the management asks me to play, I will be available.”
Before the England Test series, India will play three T20 matches against Afghanistan at home, with the first match being played on Thursday, January 11. Like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, Shami also last played a T20 match against England in the 2022 World Cup, where India lost.
