Not only in the playoffs but KKR team is on top with the most points. Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir had reached Ravichandran Ashwin’s chat show. In this interview, Gambhir commented on many issues and mentioned an incident from his cricket career, which has become a topic of discussion at the moment.

Gautam Gambhir told how he was discriminated against in the Under-14 tournament. Gambhir said-

“I was probably 12 or 13 when I first tried out for the under-14 tournament, but I wasn’t selected because the selectors didn’t like it. Since then I promised myself that I would never fall at anyone’s feet and would never let anyone fall at my feet.”

Gautam Gambhir further said that whenever he faces failure, his family background is also mentioned. He says-

“I remember when I failed in my career, be it Under-16, Under-19, Ranji Trophy or the beginning of my international career. People used to say that you are from a rich family, you do not need to play cricket. You have many options, you can also go into your father’s business. But I wanted to respond to this thinking of people.”

In the same show, Gambhir also revealed about his relationship with KKR co-owner Shahrukh Khan. Gambhir said on Ravichandran Ashwin’s YouTube channel-

“I’ve said this many times before, I think everyone I’ve ever worked with Shahrukh Khan The best team owner. Not because I am back in KKR now. This is because in the seven years of my captaincy, we have not talked about cricket even for 70 seconds. You can imagine?”

When Gautam Gambhir was the captain, under his leadership he led KKR to the championship in 2012 and 2014. Gautam Gambhir has contributed a lot not only to IPL but also to Indian cricket. He played an important role in India winning the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup.
