Indian cricket team’s star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant became the victim of a horrific car accident in December 2022. Since then he has been away from the cricket field, but fans are hopeful that he may return to the field soon. It is being speculated that he can play in IPL 2024. However, Pant told about that car accident and many other things related to his life.
In his interview with Star Sports for the ‘Believe’ series, Pant talked about his relationship with former captain MS. Pant emphasized on Dhoni’s way of talking and his experiences of learning some good things from him. He said, I always find it difficult to explain my relationship with MS Dhoni.
Rishabh Pant said that in my life I ms dhoni I have learned a lot from my brother. Mahi Bhai is the only person with whom I can talk openly about everything. I discussed things with him that I would not like to discuss with anyone else. That’s the kind of relationship I have with him. I often joke with MS Dhoni bhaiya that bhaiya you are a legend, now there is pressure on me and this is unfair Mahi bhaiya.
Senior players supported me a lot – Rishabh Pant
Rishabh Pant During this time he also remembered his early days in the Indian cricket team. He told how senior players like Yuvraj Singh and Dhoni supported him, which helped him to get along with everyone in the team. “In the beginning, I was very young, and there were a lot of senior players, a lot of them in fact,” he said.
Yuvraj Singh, M.S. Dhoni, all the seniors were present there. It took some time, but I didn’t realize he was super senior. They welcomed me very nicely and made me feel very comfortable. They make every new player very comfortable. This is the culture of the Indian team.”
