After waiting for months, Hardik Pandya is all set to return to the cricket field with Mumbai Indians in the upcoming 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). The Indian all-rounder suffered a serious injury during the ODI World Cup league match against Bangladesh in October last year, due to which he was ruled out of the entire tournament.

Recently, Pandya talked about the injury he suffered during the World Cup match. While trying to stop Liton Das’s powerful straight drive, Pandya suffered an ankle injury due to which he had to leave the field suddenly. Following this, he was ruled out of the remainder of the tournament.

Hardik Pandya made a big revelation about his ankle injury.

Hardik Pandya said on Star Sports, “I had told the management that I will return after 5 days, then I got injections done at three places on my ankle, I had to draw blood from my ankle, I wanted to give everything, then as As I was pushing, it became serious. 3 months of injury, I was not able to walk, still I was taking pain killers for 10 days to move forward for the last time, because playing for your country is the biggest pride, but I missed it.”

The star all-rounder further said that, I don’t start preparing for any tournament 2-3 months in advance. Preparations for the World Cup had started a year in advance. I made my daily routine. It was a strange injury. Very few people know that my injury was long because when I got injured it was only for 25 days. When I left the team, I told them, I’m coming back in 5 days.”

Let us tell you that Pandya will lead Mumbai Indians this season. Whereas Rohit Sharma will play as a player under his captaincy. After that, Rohit Sharma will lead Team India in the T-20 World Cup and Hardik Pandya will be the vice-captain of the team.
