Samit Dravid’s reaction is for the first time in India’s Under-19 team.
Samit Dravid is still in the early stages of his cricketing career. Although he has showcased his talent in his first few matches, his future in the game will depend on how he progresses in the times to come and handles the pressures that come with being the son of a great cricketer – Rahul Dravid.
Although Samit is still young, he has caught the attention of the Indian cricket world with his performances in group age cricket. Like his father, Samit has also shown his talent as a cricketer and now everyone is showing interest in how his career progresses in the future.

On Saturday, Samit was named in India’s Under-19 squad for the upcoming multi-format series against Australia Under-19. Star Sports Kannada shared a clip of Samit on its official X handle, in which he is talking about his selection in India’s Under-19 squad. Samit said, “First of all, I am very happy to be selected and thank you all for your wishes. I feel great, I have worked really hard for this moment.”

Samit has been playing cricket at school and district level, representing his school and state in various age group tournaments. He has shown considerable talent as a batsman, often playing in the top order like his father. Samit is also known for his ability to score runs consistently in junior cricket.
In 2019, Samit made headlines for scoring a century for Mallya Aditi International School in the Under-14 state-level cricket tournament in Karnataka. Samit is currently playing the Maharaja Trophy. He has played some good innings in this tournament this season too.
