So after this incident, a big statement of former Pakistan player Sarfraz Nawaz has come out. Nawaz says that he had already advised Zaka Ashraf and Mohsin Naqvi not to appoint Wahab for this post. Nawaz says that he knew that he was not suitable to play this role.

Let us tell you that after PCB removed Wahab Riaz from the post of selector, Sarfaraz Nawaz was quoted by a local news channel of Pakistan as saying – I have a record of writing letters to Zaka Ashraf and Mohsin Naqvi regarding Wahab Riaz’s dubious past and his lack of abilities as a cricket administrator.

No one paid heed to my suggestion. I knew very well that Wahab was not capable of performing well in any capacity yet he was made selector, advisor and manager. He has proved to be a failure at all levels.

While further Nawaz said about the change in the captaincy of the team- Mohammad Rizwan has proved his captaincy credentials by helping Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) win all the domestic competitions.

While his performance as captain of Multan Sultans has been consistently good over the years. He is best suited for captaincy. Babar Azam is low on confidence. His name should be considered for the post of captaincy.
