Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), which has a huge fan base across the world, won its first title by defeating Delhi Capitals (DC) by 8 wickets in the final of WPL 2024 on Sunday, March 17. While chasing the target of 114 runs, as soon as Richa Ghosh scored the winning run on the third ball of the 20th over, the entire RCB camp went into celebration.

Last year, RCB had disintegrated badly under pressure, but this time the team returned with confidence. After disappointing performance in the first season, RCB Smriti Mandhana Created history under the leadership of (Smriti Mandhana) and gave the franchise its first trophy.

While talking to the media after winning the final, Smriti Mandhana talked about having faith in herself. He said that, one thing I have learned is to believe in myself. This was something that was not there last year and everything went wrong.

Mandhana said, I had doubts about some things in myself but that was the real conversation in my mind, I need to believe in myself and I think that was the biggest learning for me.

WPL On becoming the second Indian captain to win the title, she said that, last year when MI and DC were playing in the final, somewhere I expected that Harman would win it. Because I wanted an Indian captain to win the first edition of WPL, if not me then it should be Harman. So I was happy for Harman and the entire MI team.

In the end she said, I became the second Indian to win in the second season. This shows how much depth there is in Indian cricket. This is just the beginning, we still have a long way to go.
