Team India ended the 17-year long wait and won its second T20 World Cup title by defeating South Africa in Barbados on 29 June. After India became the champion, Mahendra Singh Dhoni posted a special post on social media congratulating the team. Regarding which Indian captain Rohit Sharma revealed that he was on cloud nine after seeing Dhoni’s post after the victory.

After India’s victory, Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that his heart beat was very fast during the final. He also praised the team and thanked them for the birthday gift. Let us tell you that Dhoni is going to celebrate his 43rd birthday on 7 July.

Let us tell you that India won the first T20 World Cup under the leadership of MS Dhoni in 2007 by defeating Pakistan in Johannesburg. Dhoni then made India champion in the 2011 ODI World Cup, and the Champions Trophy in 2013.

Reacting to Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s post, Rohit Sharma while talking to ANI said,

Dhoni was a great player, he did a lot for us and the country. I felt good that he appreciated us after our victory.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma has been seen playing brilliantly for the team in the T20 World Cup 2024. He took the team to the finals by scoring half-centuries in important matches against Australia and England. Rohit is also the highest run-scorer for India in the tournament. He scored 257 runs in 8 matches at an average of 36.71, including 3 half-centuries.
