Today i.e. on 14th April, the second match of the double header of IPL 2024 will be played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Both the teams would like to win this match. However, before the start of this match, former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has given a big statement about Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

According to Irfan Pathan, Mahendra Singh Dhoni can be seen batting slightly higher in the match played against Mumbai Indians. Let us tell you, Chennai team has won three out of five matches in IPL 2024 and Dhoni has played only 21 balls this season. However, he has scored 39 runs in 21 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes.

Irfan Pathan said on Star Sports, ‘The expectations will remain the same. Although Dhoni is 42 years old. But we will say this because he is young and he has maintained himself like this. Earlier, when Dhoni used to come to bat in the 10th or 11th over, he used to make the match and make his team win. Now he has reduced his role and he comes in the last 2 or 3 overs and plays big shots.

Irfan Pathan also presented his side regarding Suryakumar Yadav

Mumbai Indians had earlier played a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in which Suryakumar Yadav played a stormy inning of 51 runs in 19 balls and played an important role in his team’s victory. Ravindra Jadeja from Chennai bowled brilliantly against Kolkata Knight Riders and led his team to victory. A tremendous clash can be seen between these two players in this match.

Irfan Pathan further said, ‘This clash will definitely be seen because Jadeja will come to bowl at the time when Suryakumar Yadav is batting. Who will win is a big question. Ravindra Jadeja bowls on the line of the stumps and Suryakumar Yadav looks to play offside and sometimes leg side shots on such balls. Not only this, he also plays sweep shots. But he also knows that he is a very strong bowler in front of him.

I think Suryakumar Yadav can win this battle because this match is in Mumbai and he knows this pitch very well. You won’t get much turn here.

Finn praised him a lot and even said that he is the best player in the world. Speaking with former England captain Alastair Cook on TNT Sports, Steven Finn said, “Jaiswal scored a brilliant 161, but he is the player I like to watch. That is Jasprit Bumrah. I think he really is the best player in the world. Honestly, sometimes I think bowling like him is a joke! You see him bowling and you just think, I’m glad I don’t have to come out to bat.” He further said, “I was surprised that India went there (Australia) and defeated Australia, where usually it is very difficult to go and play cricket. Perth, I know it’s not the WACA; I know it’s a new stadium, but still, historically, Australia hasn’t lost many matches there. I thought India performed very bravely there.” Let us tell you that, Bumrah now has 118 wickets in 27 Test matches in SENA countries at an impressive average of 22.55, which also includes his career best performance (6/33).
