Sunrisers Hyderabad youngster Nitish Kumar Reddy praised his teammate, experienced fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar for his match-winning spell against Rajasthan Royals in the 50th game of IPL 2024. After SRH scored a total of 201 runs, the team’s bowlers performed brilliantly and helped the team win by 1 run.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was adjudged Player of the Match for his brilliant spell. Bhuvi took three wickets for 41 runs in his four-over spell and played a key role in SRH winning the match. The experienced fast bowler also defended two runs by dismissing Rovman Powell on the last ball. after the match Reddy said that he had an idea that Bhuvneshwar Kumar would successfully defend the runs in the last over.
Nitish Kumar Reddy praised Bhuvneshwar Kumar fiercely.
In the press conference after the match, Nitish Reddy said, “I was seeing who would bowl. When I saw that Bhuvneshwar was going to bowl, I was confident that he would do the job for us. He did this several times during his tenure. I didn’t think we would win, I thought we would either lose or tie. But I was very happy to get a wicket on the last ball.”
Apart from this, Nitish srh Considered his role in the lineup. The youngster talked about how the team was losing early wickets in their recent matches. However, him being able to last until the 13th or 14th over gave Heinrich Klaasen the freedom to play his natural game.
Nitish said, “For the last two matches, we have been losing wickets quickly and I had to go out to bat early. My role is to play till the 13th and 14th overs so that Klaasen gets the license to play freely. It doesn’t make sense that Klaasen and Samad are coming early, but are not able to score freely.”
