Pakistan cricket team’s all-rounder Imad Wasim has recently made a big statement on the decision of the Pakistan Cricket Board to appoint Babar Azam as the captain again. Imad Wasim says that not only he but the whole country was surprised by this decision of the PCB.

It is worth noting that after the Cricket World Cup 2023 held in India, Babar Azam left the captaincy of Pakistan in all three formats. After this, PCB handed over the captaincy to Shan Masood in Test cricket and Shaheen Afridi in T20 format.

However, after losing the T20 series against New Zealand 4-1, the PCB removed Shaheen from the captaincy and once again made Babar Azam the captain of the team in white ball cricket. This was Shaheen’s first series as captain.

On the other hand, now Imad Wasim has given a big statement on all this. Wasim says that Pakistan has once again flopped under the leadership of Babar and now his captaincy is in danger.

Let us tell you that in a recent interview with Saj Sadiq, Imad Wasim said – I was surprised, what can I say about this. But in the end it was the decision of the selectors. Whatever option they thought was good, they chose it and after that selected the team. Not only me but everyone in Pakistan was surprised. So, I cannot say that I was not surprised.

Imad further said on Pakistan’s defeat in the T20 World Cup- Yes, honestly, our performance was not good and we have to accept it, including me. I think our team was good, but it did not succeed. This can happen in any format, especially in T20, but yes, it was disappointing. I was really disappointed, it took me a long time to recover from it.
