ICC announces players nominated for April’s Player of the Month awards


ICC has revealed the names of players nominated in both women’s and men’s categories.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) today on May 6 has announced the nominated players included in the list of ‘Player of the Month’ for the month of April. Let us tell you that in this list, the players who have performed brilliantly in the women’s and men’s categories in the month of April have got a place in it.

In this list, in the women’s category, Sri Lankan captain and veteran all-rounder Chamari Atapattu (CHAMARI ATAPATTU) has been included. It is noteworthy that Chamari had performed brilliantly in the ODI and T20 series against South Africa and UAE in the month of April.

Apart from this, due to West Indies’ excellent performance on the Pakistan tour, the team’s veteran all-rounder Hayley Mathews (Hayley Matthews) Has also got a place in this list. Whereas in the month of April, South Africa women’s cricket team’s opening batsman Laura Walworth (Laura Wolvaardt) Have also been successful in making a place.

These players got place in men’s category

After women, one cricketer each from Pakistan, UAE and Namibia has been successful in making their place in this list. Pakistan cricket team’s young fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is also among the players who have been nominated for this award. Shaheen performed brilliantly in the home series against New Zealand and took 8 wickets.

Apart from this, UAE opening batsman and captain Muhammad Wasim has also got a place in this list. Recently, Wasim’s bat spoke loudly in the ACC Premier Cup held in Oman. In this series, he scored a total of 269 runs at an average of 44.83. Apart from Wasim, Namibia’s all-rounder player Grehard Erasmus has also got a place in this list. He recently played a key role in the team’s 3-2 win against Oman in Muscat. Apart from scoring 145 runs, he also took 8 wickets in the series against Oman.
