The International Cricket Council has announced the price of the match tickets of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 today i.e. on 11 September. Let us tell you that there will be free entry to the stadium for youth under the age of 18, while the price of the match ticket will start from just 5 dirhams.
ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice announced this in a press conference with Emirates Cricket Board member Zaid Abbas. He also praised UAE as a venue.
Geoff Allardyce thanked the ECB for hosting the event and said, ‘One of the exciting things about the United Arab Emirates is its diversity. It is a place where the whole world is represented. This means that it is effectively a home World Cup for all 10 teams and all the players will get a lot of support here. In this regard, I announce that tickets will be available from just five dirhams and tickets under 18 years of age will be free.
We would also like to thank the ECB and Dubai Sports Council for hosting this tournament. We will also be hosting the Criio festival to give over 500 girls the opportunity to get involved in the sport and have their first fun cricket experience.’

Geoff Allardyce released a video of the tournament’s spectacular laser show at Burj Khalifa and said, ‘I would like to thank the ECB and my friends at the Dubai Sports Council and everyone who has taken on the responsibility of hosting this important tournament. This includes the Dubai International Stadium and the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.’
Zaid Abbas said, ‘The Emirates Cricket Board is very happy to host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. We want more and more people to love this tournament and we are able to host the top class cricket tournament in the best possible way in front of the world.
This tournament will see the best women players from around the world competing against each other. The ECB was in constant dialogue with the International Cricket Council and the Bangladesh Cricket Board so that fans and players do not face any kind of inconvenience.
This tournament will be played between 10 teams from 3 October to 20 October. A total of 23 matches will be played in 18 days. 20 league matches will be played in Dubai and Sharjah while the semi-finals will be played in Dubai on 17 October and Sharjah on 18 October. The final match of this great tournament will be held in Dubai on 20 October. Group A has Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka while Group B has Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies and Scotland.
