Meanwhile, former captain Rashid Latif has given a different statement. He has blamed the ICC for Pakistan’s exit from the group stage. He has supported the Pakistan team and targeted the International Cricket Council (ICC) saying that the conditions are not good for the World Cup.

Rashid Latif blamed ICC for Pakistan’s defeat

Speaking to Cricbuzz, Rashid Latif said, “You can’t blame the Pakistani players for everything. They performed well, but the pitch conditions neutralised their efforts. They should have won both the matches against the USA and India, but the circumstances were beyond their control. It has happened that scoring runs has become difficult. See, even a batsman like Virat Kohli is not able to score runs.”

Latif further said that the ICC is responsible for Pakistan’s team not reaching the Super 8. He further said that the bad conditions are not only in America but also in the Caribbean countries. Latif said, individual half-centuries are not too many. No team has scored a half-century against a team like Afghanistan. If a batsman scores a half-century then the team mostly wins. Rishabh Pant scored 42 runs and India defeated Pakistan. The conditions are not ideal for the World Cup.
