Hardik Pandya’s performance in the T20 against South Africa was decent.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the latest rankings of T20 players on Wednesday. India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has got a huge boost in the rankings after the four-match T20 series against South Africa. Hardik has once again become the number-1 T20 all-rounder. He reached the top leaving behind England’s Liam Livingstone and Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Ari. Hardik currently has 244 rating points.
England all-rounder Liam Livingstone has slipped to third position with 230 points. Nepal’s Deependra Airi (230) is at second position. Hardik had played an unbeaten inning of 39 runs in the second T20 against South Africa. He took two wickets in the series. India won that series 3-1. In this series, Hardik performed well with the ball, but he did not get that many opportunities in batting.
Sanju Samson also got advantage in T20I ranking
Surya has suffered a loss of one place in the latest ranking of batsmen. He is at fourth position with 788 marks. Babar is at fifth position with 742 points. Wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson has also benefited tremendously after the South Africa series. He has made a huge jump of 17 places and reached 22nd position. He scored centuries in the first and fourth matches against South Africa.
There has also been a reshuffle in the ranking of T20 bowlers. Australian bowlers Adam Zampa (693) and Nathan Ellis (628) have come at third and 11th positions respectively. Australia recently whitewashed Pakistan in the three-match T20 series.
India’s fast bowler Arshdeep Singh (656) has moved up three places to ninth position. On the basis of his performance against South Africa, he has achieved the new highest rating of his career.
