Hasaranga found guilty of breaching ICC Code of Conduct during the third ODI against Bangladesh
Sri Lanka has to play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh from March 22, but before that the team has suffered a big setback. ICC all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga (Wanindu Hasaranga) has been suspended for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh for violating the code of conduct.
In fact, during the last match of the recently concluded three-match ODI series, Hasaranga was found guilty of violating Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct. The incident occurred in the 37th over, when he snatched his cap from the umpire and mocked the umpiring during the match.

After this action of Hasaranga, ICC fined him 50 percent of the match fee. Also got 3 demerit points. Due to which Hasaranga has got 8 demerit points in a period of 24 months. After this, ICC took strict action and suspended him for two test matches.
Let us tell you that Wanindu Hasaranga He retired from Test cricket in August 2023 to focus on white-ball cricket, but Sri Lanka recalled him to the team for the Test series against Bangladesh. Hasaranga has played four test matches for Sri Lanka so far, in which he has taken four wickets. The last time Hasaranga played a Test match at home was against Bangladesh in 2021.
Wanindu Hasaranga will be seen playing in IPL 2024
Wanindu Hasaranga will be seen playing in the upcoming season of IPL. He was included in the mini auction by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 1.5 crore. Earlier, he was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team last season. But he could not perform anything special, due to which the franchise released him.
