Pakistan team’s experienced batsman Babar Azam has not been in his best form for some time. Recently, Pakistan played a two-match Test series against Bangladesh in which Babar Azam’s performance was disappointing. In both these matches, Babar Azam failed to score big for his team.

After the end of this series, many former players have criticized Babar Azam fiercely. However, Salman Butt has made a big statement supporting Babar Azam. According to Salman Butt, Babar Azam is currently the best batsman of Pakistan and it is important for everyone to support him in this bad time. He also said that Babar has consistently been in the top 3 in the ICC rankings in T20 and ODI.

Salman Butt shared a video on his official YouTube account and said, ‘Why is everyone asking me why I am supporting Babar Azam? Did he score 500 runs because of my support or did I ask people to vote for him? Babar has been Pakistan’s best batsman in the last 4 years and there is no doubt about it. The Pakistan team does not play much Test cricket and they have always been in the top 3 in white ball cricket.

He has scored the most runs and there is no one even close to him in the team. If you cannot support your best player and want to remove him then no one can say anything about it. If you have any other player then you should bring him and give him a chance in the team.

Babar is not scoring runs but what about the other players?: Salman Butt

The former player further said, ‘Yes, I agree that Babar Azam has not lived up to expectations in Test cricket. But is this a matter of concern? If Babar is not performing well then he should be removed but what are the other players doing? Babar did not score runs but what about the other players?

When Babar Azam was scoring runs consistently, people started calling him the king. But I was one of the few people who were saying that he is still behind the top players. When someone is scoring runs, people support him but when the same player is going through bad form, people criticize him.
