Rohit Sharma said during the post-match presentation, “We have not yet finalized our 15-member squad for T20WC 2024, but we have 8-10 players in mind. So, we will prepare our team combination as per the circumstances. The conditions are slow in West Indies, so we have to choose our team accordingly.”

“You can’t keep everyone happy”

The Indian captain further said, “As far as Rahul Dravid and I are concerned, we have tried to maintain clarity in our team. We try to tell our players why they were selected or not selected even after performing well. You can’t keep everyone happy, that’s what I’ve learned from my time as captain.

You can keep 15 players happy, but you still only have 11 players happy. The four players sitting on the bench still ask why they are not playing. I have learned that you cannot keep everyone happy, so your focus should only be on the team goal.”
