Under pressure, Bishnoi left no option for Afghan batsmen Mohammad Nabi, Karim Janat and Rahmanullah Gurbaz to play big shots on their balls. Despite the dreadful pressure of the Super Over, Bishnoi performed brilliantly to win the match for his country and defend 12 runs against Afghanistan, winning the hearts of all Indian fans including Rahul Dravid.

Rahul Dravid was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz: “I think Rohit listened to his conscience and took this decision. I think he felt that the spinner had a better chance of taking those two wickets. It was one of those matches when 11 was probably not a big score and you know if they had batted with their strength on those six balls, they might have got 12. You needed to take two wickets, and Bishnoi did the job for us.”
