The 47th match of the ongoing T20 World Cup between India and Bangladesh (IND vs BAN) was played today on 22 June at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. Let us tell you that in this match, Team India won by 50 runs on the basis of Hardik Pandya’s all-round performance and Kuldeep Yadav’s deadly bowling.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya played an important role in helping the Men in Blue win the match. Also, this is the second consecutive win for the Indian team in the Super 8 of the ongoing T20 World Cup. With this win, the Indian team has taken a strong step towards the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.

India won the match on the basis of bowling

If we tell you about the match in detail, then India batted first and scored 196 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Opener and captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli made a partnership of 39 runs for the first wicket.

Virat Kohli was out after scoring 37 runs while captain Rohit Sharma was out after scoring 23 runs. Apart from this, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant scored 36 runs, while Pandya remained unbeaten after scoring 50* runs, due to which Team India set a strong target for Bangladesh to win.

But when Bangladesh came out to chase the target of 197 runs given by India, it could only score 146 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs in front of India’s brilliant bowling, and had to face defeat by 50 runs in the match. For Bangladesh, only captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto could play the best innings of 40 runs. Apart from this, no other player could score more runs.

On the other hand, India’s bowling performance was amazing, especially from spinner Kuldeep Yadav. Kuldeep took 3 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs, while Arshdeep Singh and Jaspreet Bumrah got 2 wickets each. Apart from this, Hardik Pandya also got 1 wicket.

‘Jasprit Bumrah is a joke’ – shocking statement of former English bowler after Perth Test

Bumrah took 8 wickets in both the innings of that Test match and for this he was chosen Player of the Match. In the match, India achieved a spectacular victory within four days and took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. After seeing the brilliant bowling in that match, former England cricket team fast bowler Steven Finn has praised Jasprit Bumrah’s performance in the first Test match against Australia. Finn praised him a lot and even said that he is the best player in the world. Speaking with former England captain Alastair Cook on TNT Sports, Steven Finn said, “Jaiswal scored a brilliant 161, but he is the player I like to watch. That is Jasprit Bumrah. I think he really is the best player in the world. Honestly, sometimes I think bowling like him is a joke! You see him bowling and you just think, I’m glad I don’t have to come out to bat.” He further said, “I was surprised that India went there (Australia) and defeated Australia, where usually it is very difficult to go and play cricket. Perth, I know it’s not the WACA; I know it’s a new stadium, but still, historically, Australia hasn’t lost many matches there. I thought India performed very bravely there.” Let us tell you that, Bumrah now has 118 wickets in 27 Test matches in SENA countries at an impressive average of 22.55, which also includes his career best performance (6/33). During this period, he has taken five wicket hauls 7 times, which is equal to Kapil Dev. They are followed by BS Chandrashekhar and Zaheer Khan (six each), and Bishan Singh Bedi and Anil Kumble (five each).
