India has achieved this feat in just 61 balls.
The fourth day of play of the second Test match, which started on September 30, is going on today at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. It is noteworthy that due to rain, play could not be played on the second and third day of the match. At the end of the first day, Bangladesh, which had lost 3 wickets on a total score of 107 runs, was bundled out by the Indian bowling for a total score of 233 runs.
So when India came out to bat in the first innings of the match, the Indian batsmen established a new record and registered their names in the pages of Test cricket history. Let us tell you that Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who came to open the batting for Team India at Green Park Stadium, started batting in T20 style in Test cricket.
Both of them had touched the 50-run mark for India within the first four overs. Rohit was out after playing a quick inning of 23 runs in 11 balls, but Jaiswal (72 runs, 51 balls) on the other hand continued to play fast. So when Team India’s score reached 100 runs, it became clear that India has created history in Test cricket.
Let us tell you that from India’s side, Shubman Gill and Jaiswal added 72 runs for the second wicket and took India’s score beyond 100. It took only 10.1 overs for India to score 100 runs against Bangladesh. With this, India has become the first team to score the fastest 100 runs in Test cricket in terms of overs. This attacking cricket of Team India is being praised everywhere.
