The third day of the first test match being played between Team India and Bangladesh has ended. By the end of the third day, Bangladesh has scored 158 runs after losing four wickets. The team needs 357 more runs to win this match. Let us tell you that to win this match, India had given a target of 515 runs to Bangladesh.

Before Bangladesh’s innings, the hosts declared their second innings at 287 for four. For India, in the second innings, the best wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant batted explosively and scored 109 runs in 128 balls with the help of 13 fours and 4 sixes, while Shubman Gill played a valuable innings of 119* runs in 176 balls with the help of 10 fours and 4 sixes.

Both these players did not spare any bowler of Bangladesh and continuously attacked everyone. In the second innings, captain Rohit Sharma failed to score big for Team India and was out after scoring five runs. Not only this, Virat Kohli also returned to the pavilion on a personal score of 17 runs while Yashasvi Jaiswal scored only 10 runs. However, due to the important partnership of Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill, the Indian team put pressure on Bangladesh in this match.

Both these players made a great partnership of 167 runs for the fourth wicket. KL Rahul contributed 22 runs from India’s side. For Bangladesh, Mehdi Hasan Miraz took two wickets in the second innings while Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana took one wicket each.

India set a target of 515 runs for Bangladesh

Bangladesh, chasing the target, has scored 158 runs by losing four wickets till the end of the third day. Zakir Hasan scored 33 runs in the second innings for the team while Mominul Haque was dismissed on a personal score of 13 runs. Shadman Islam contributed 35 runs. By the end of the third day, captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto is batting on 51* runs with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes in 60 balls while Shakib Al Hasan has scored 5* runs.

For India, Ravichandran Ashwin has taken three wickets so far while Jasprit Bumrah has taken one wicket. The fourth day of the first Test match will be very important for both the teams.
