Rahul again in the third test to be played in Rajkot team india May make a comeback in, but it has not been confirmed yet. According to reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has delayed the announcement of the team to check the fitness of Rahul and Jadeja. Team India can be announced for the remaining three Test matches on 9 or 10 February.
If Rahul passes the fitness test, he will replace Shreyas Iyer in the team, who may be out of the remaining three matches of the series due to back stiffness. On the other hand, star batsman Virat Kohli is likely to miss the remaining matches of the series against England. He could not play in the first two matches citing personal reasons and for the same reason he will not play in the remaining Test matches.
With Rahul’s return, India’s middle order will become even stronger. Apart from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubhman Gill, all the other batsmen have struggled to score runs. Rahul, who scored 86 runs in the first Test in Hyderabad, will be looking to stabilize the middle order. Rahul can be seen batting at number four in this match.
