In the first Test match played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, England defeated India by 28 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the five-match Test series. In the first test match, all the players from England performed very well and played an important role in the victory of their team.

Talking about the Indian team, some players could not leave their mark in this match. The performance of Indian players was quite disappointing in this match.
