Before the start of the five-match Test series between India and England, a big statement from former England captain Michael Vaughan has come out. Vaughan says that if the first ball shows more spin than the pitch, it could prove to be a big mistake for India.

It is noteworthy that currently the English team led by Ben Stokes is on India tour for a five-match Test series. The first match of this series will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad from Thursday, January 26.

Michael Vaughn gave a big statement

Let us tell you that before the start of the India vs England Test series, Michael Vaughan was quoted as saying by The Telegraph regarding the pitches – I think it would be a big mistake for India if the pitch gets more spin from the very first ball. England will try to score runs quickly, whether their innings lasts long or not.

Vaughan further said – But if the pitch becomes a spin friendly pitch then Jack Leach and other spinners of England can bring the team into the game. Is Jack Leach a better spinner than Ravindra Jadeja? No, but if you give him (Jack) a spin track and England bat first then it will be good for the English team.

Generally, if there is excessive rotation then India’s batting is weak and England will all out them. But if the pitch is flat then India will score hundreds of runs and they also have the bowlers to defeat England.
