Former Indian wicketkeeper batsman Saba Karim has praised Rohit Sharma for standing strong in adverse circumstances in the ongoing Test series against England. Team India did not have some big players for this series. Players like KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami are out due to injury, while Virat withdrew his name from the series citing personal reasons.

In the absence of senior players, there was a doubt in everyone’s mind as to how Team India would perform during this series. But the way Rohit Sharma has performed in this series as a captain and player is praiseworthy. Rohit has already ensured that the Men in Blue’s dominant winning streak continues on home soil after three consecutive wins in the five-match series.

Rohit Sharma has also performed brilliantly as a batsman in this series, he has scored two centuries so far. The first century of this came in a difficult situation after the failure of the top order in Rajkot. Although India has been put under pressure by the visiting England team in each of the four Test matches, under Rohit’s captaincy the team has made a brilliant comeback even in pressure situations.

Saba Karim gave a big statement regarding Rohit’s performance

Regarding Rohit’s performance, Saba Karim, while talking to Geo Cinema, said, “You have seen that in Rajkot, the team was in a difficult situation and he got out after scoring 100 runs. He is someone who enjoys challenges. It’s something as an experienced player, you thrive in these types of situations.”

The Indian captain took full advantage of his start in the first innings of the fifth Test in Dharamsala. The captain completed his 12th Test century. This is his second century against England in Tests. Rohit was bowled by Stokes after scoring 103 runs.
