The fifth test match between India and England has started in Dharamshala. The first day of the fifth Test was entirely in the name of the Indian team. Talking about the match, by the end of the first day’s play, England scored 218 runs in their first innings after losing all the wickets. The spinners of the Indian team bowled very well in this match and maintained pressure on England. For England, opener Zak Crawley batted brilliantly and scored 79 runs. He hit 11 fours and one six during his innings.

Apart from Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett contributed 27 runs while Joe Root scored 26 runs. Jonny Bairstow played an excellent inning of 29 runs while Ben Fox contributed 24 runs. The spinners of the Indian team took all 10 wickets in this match. Kuldeep Yadav took 5 wickets for 72 runs in 15 overs while Ravichandran Ashwin took four wickets. Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket.

Till the end of the first day’s play, Rohit Sharma is batting on 52* runs in 83 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes, while Shubman Gill has scored 26* runs in 39 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes. In this match, young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal batted very well and played an explosive inning of 57 runs in 58 balls with the help of five fours and three sixes. Yashasvi did not spare any of the England bowlers and hit hard against all of them. The second day of the game will be very important for both the teams.
