The Board of Control for Cricket in India has recently announced the Indian team for the remaining three Tests of the Test series being played against England. Indian team’s experienced batsman Virat Kohli will not be seen playing in the remaining three Tests. Actually, due to personal reasons, Virat Kohli did not play in the first two Tests and now he will not participate in the remaining three matches also.

The source of the Board of Control for Cricket in India has said that they know this very well and they respect this decision of Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli is missing the Test series after a long gap of 12 years.

Let us tell you, Virat Kohli made his Test debut against West Indies in June 2011. He scored his first century against Australia in Adelaide in January 2012. Virat Kohli is counted among the best batsmen in the world. Till now, Virat Kohli has scored 8848 runs in 113 matches with the help of 29 centuries and 30 half-centuries. He has scored these runs at an average above 49.

Not only this, under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, the Indian team has won 40 out of 68 matches and their win percentage is 58.82%.

Virat Kohli missed three tests against Australia in 2020-21

Virat Kohli was the first Indian captain to register a win against Australia in the 2018–19 tour. Virat Kohli missed three Tests against Australia in 2020-21 because his daughter Vamika was born at that time.

Two matches have been played so far in the five-match Test series being played against England. Both the teams have won one match each so far and this series is tied at 1-1. Now it remains to be seen how host India performs in the remaining Tests. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the team would definitely like to win this test series.
