Jaiswal has played a brilliant inning of 209 runs in the match. So with this double century, Jaiswal has got his name included in the list of elite players like Sunil Gavaskar and Vinod Kambli with some special records.

Jaiswal completed his double century against England in 277 balls and became the third youngest player to score a century in Test cricket for India. Jaiswal accomplished this feat at the age of 22 years and 36 days.

Apart from this, he is the first left-handed player to score a double century in Test cricket for India since 2008. Last time, former Indian player Gautam Gambhir played a brilliant inning of 206 runs against Australia.

Apart from this, he is the first player since November 2019 to score a century in the longest format of the game. Earlier, Mayank Agarwal had scored a double century in Test cricket. Also, he is the fourth left-handed player from India to score a double century in Test cricket. Before Jaiswal, only Gautam Gambhir (1 time), Vinod Kambli (twice), Sourav Ganguly (1 time) have been able to touch this figure.

On the other hand, if we tell you the situation of this match, thanks to the amazing innings of Jaiswal, India scored 396 runs in the first innings. So on the second day, when England came out to bat, it lost all its wickets on a total score of 253 runs and on the basis of first innings, it lagged behind India by 143 runs.
