Border-Gavaskar Trophy will start from 22nd November Mitchell Starc (Image Credit- Twitter X) Before the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series between Australia and India (AUS vs IND), Australian team fast bowler Mitchell Starc has made headlines. It is noteworthy that the first match of this series will be played at Perth Stadium from 22nd November. So, before this match, in a practice session of the Australian team, Starc was seen practicing with a special kind of ball. The ball with which Starc is practicing is red on one side and white on the other. According to cricket experts, this type of ball helps the bowler a lot in maintaining hand-eye balance. By practicing with this type of ball, Starc can gain control over the late movement swing in the match. The pitch curator of Perth Stadium recently said that some grass is expected to be left on the pitch, due to which the fast bowlers can prove to be effective in the match. Perhaps this is the reason why Starc is practicing with a special type of ball before this match to take advantage of this weakness of India. However, this move by Australia could serve as a double-edged sword, as the current Indian team has a lot of bowlers who can work their magic in swing conditions. So if we tell you about Starc’s performance in Test cricket in the year 2024, he has bowled in 10 innings, in which he has taken a total of 27 wickets at an average of 32.25 and strike rate of 49.60. Apart from this, his average in Test cricket against the Indian team is 35.84. However, now it will be worth watching whether Starc is able to reduce his average against Team India in the upcoming series or not?
