On the fourth day, Rishabh Pant narrowly escaped being run-out in the 56th over of the innings. Sarfaraz Khan scored the first century of his international career
Sarfaraz Khan scored his first international century in 110 balls by hitting a four against Tim Southee during the 57th over. This century of Sarfaraz has a lot of significance because it came in a very stressful situation. He took off his helmet, and ran on the field with full enthusiasm. Everyone in the dressing room also praised him a lot.

Pant completed half-century in 55 balls
Rishabh Pant completed his half-century in 55 balls by hitting a four against Glenn Phillips during the 71st over. Rishabh has become the third player to score most half-centuries as a wicketkeeper in Test cricket. So far he has scored 18 half-centuries in 62 innings.

Sarfaraz Khan played the ball bowled by Tim Southee straight towards Ajaz Patel posted at cover, where he made no mistake and took an amazing catch. Rishabh Pant hit a 107 meter long six
The 87th over of India’s second innings was bowled by Tim Southee. Rishabh Pant had hit a brilliant four on the first ball of the over. No runs were scored on the second ball, then on the third ball he hit a 107 meter long six. Rishabh Pant got down on one knee and played a slog-sweep shot, hitting a six over square leg. Glenn Phillips, posted on the field, was left speechless after seeing Rishabh Pant’s six. At the same time, KL Rahul, standing at the non-striker end, also had a big smile on his face.

Rishabh Pant missed his century by just one run. During the 89th over against William O’Rourke, he tried to defend but the ball hit the stumps. Rishabh Pant played a brilliant inning of 99 runs in 105 balls with the help of 9 fours and 5 sixes.

Middle order performance was shameful
KL Rahul (12), Ravindra Jadeja (5), and Ravichandran Ashwin (15) could not perform anything special. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj were out for ducks against Matt Henry and Team India was all out for 462 runs in the second innings. Rohit Sharma (52), Virat Kohli (70), Sarfaraz Khan (150) and Rishabh Pant (99) played brilliant innings for the team.
In the second innings, Matt Henry and William O’Rourke took maximum 3-3 wickets against India. Ajaz Patel took two wickets. Whereas Tim Southee and Glenn Phillips took 1-1 wickets.
