A three-match Test series is currently being played between India and New Zealand (IND vs NZ). So, in the first test match of this series played in Bengaluru, veteran batsman Kane Williamson could not participate due to injury.
Also, Williamson is now out of the second test match to be held in Pune. He is currently recovering from a groin injury and there is doubt over Williamson’s participation in the third Test match as well. Captain Tom Latham has confirmed that he is recovering, but there is no definite time frame for his return yet.
The 32-year-old captain also said that Williamson’s progress is being monitored on a daily basis, and he looks forward to working closely with the medical team. He also said that his availability in the third Test will be decided only after the Pune match.
